TabOracle AI — Privacy Policy

  Summary: TabOracle AI does not collect, store or transmit any personal data to external servers. All your data stays on your device.

1. Overview

TabOracle AI ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension developed by IA Squared Extensions. This Privacy Policy explains what data the Extension accesses, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

2. Single Purpose

TabOracle AI is an intelligent tab manager that uses AI to group, summarise and organise browser tabs, with smart hibernation and focus mode features.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

TabOracle AI does not:

Collect or transmit your personal information to any server operated by us
Track your browsing history or behaviour across websites
Share any data with third parties for advertising or analytics
Use cookies or any form of tracking technology

4. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

All data is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local) and never leaves your device:

Settings: Your preferences such as theme, language and feature toggles
API Key: If you provide your own Anthropic or OpenAI API key, it is stored locally only
License Key: Your Pro license key, stored locally for activation verification
Usage Counts: Daily usage counts to enforce free plan limits

5. Permission Justifications

storage: Stores user settings, API key, Pro license key, tab activity timestamps for hibernation, and focus mode state locally on the device. No data is transmitted to developer servers.
tabs: Core permission required to read, group, close, discard and manage all open browser tabs — the primary function of the extension.
alarms: Used to run the hibernation check every 5 minutes, discarding tabs that have been inactive longer than the user's configured threshold.
host_permissions: Required to call the Anthropic and OpenAI APIs for AI tab grouping and tab summary generation. Also required to access tab metadata across all URLs.

6. AI API Calls

When you use AI features, text is sent directly from your browser to your chosen AI provider using your own API key:

Anthropic Claude API — governed by their respective privacy policy
OpenAI API — governed by their respective privacy policy

IA Squared Extensions does not see, intercept or store the content of these requests.

7. License Activation

When activating a Pro license, the extension communicates with Lemon Squeezy's API to validate your license key. Their handling of this data is governed by Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy.

8. Children's Privacy

This extension is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
